TITLE: Director of Business Development- Tooling & Technology

LOCATION: Remote, Upper Mid-West, US

Reports to: Sr. Director of Sales

Manager: No

OUTPUTS & ACTIVITIES

Best practices - Study, implement, utilize, and execute to Westfall’s adopted best practices and methods, as revised from time to time, while adhering to corporate procedures, for

  • Strategic planning
  • Networking / Prospecting
  • Selling
  • Presenting
  • Quoting
  • Negotiating
  • Reporting
  • Recruiting
  • Closing

Territory

  • Partner with the Sr. Director of sales to lead or execute growth strategies and activities for a specific geographic territory and strategic key accounts as defined and developed.
  • Develop and execute to annual and monthly sales plans and objectives for the territory and accounts
  • Collaboratively work with team to develop and present proposal for services
  • Plan and conduct strategic negotiations with clients, including concession strategies

Department

  • Contribute to developing sales and marketing strategies for the sales team
  • Contribute to achieving departmental sales goals
  • Participate and contribute to sales and marketing strategies.

Corporate

  • Participate with Sr. Director of Sales and the management team to develop corporate strategies and goals
  • Adhere to Westfall Values & Beliefs
  • All other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Sales.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of eight years of qualified plastics experience in the areas of business development, strategic planning, financial management, and complex negotiations.
  • Injection Mold & Hot Runner Sales preferred
  • Mold Making and/or Tool Engineering Experience preferred
  • Established business relationships and contacts in target markets within the assigned region
  • Medical device, consumer health and/or consumer packaged goods B2B industry experience required
  • Developing and representing development or manufacturing services experience preferred in the component, sub-assembly, design and tooling
  • Must be creative with the ability to think outside the box; assertive, decisive, problem solver, risk taker and a results-oriented professional.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA or life science-related advanced degree, or educational equivalent, preferred

Physical Demands

  • Frequent Travel--Up to 50%
  • Extended Hours
