JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Process Technician
Location: Asheboro, NC
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Schedule: Night Shift, 12 Hour Rotating Schedule
SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Process Technician provides technical support for the injection molding process and has responsibility for installing molds, aux equipment, supporting, troubleshooting and optimizing the operation of molding machinery and processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each assigned duty satisfactorily.
Knowledge and application of scientific molding principles
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting methodology
Prior knowledge of materials, equipment function, processing and machine operation in Injection Molding
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency at reading, interpreting, and utilizing all machine, product and work order documentation along with blueprints
Proficient with Mold setup activities, working with Maintenance on problems and use of state-of-the-art controls on machines and robot/ automation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous Supervisory experience would be beneficial
