JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Director of Business Development, Medical Device

POSITION: Full Time/Exempt

LOCATION: Remote - Eastern US

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Business Development, Healthcare

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The purpose of this position is to generate new revenue opportunities for Westfall Technik within a given set of industry specific and vertically focused clients while protecting the core business by building strong client partnerships.

Utilizing their broad network, industry relationships and tireless work ethic, each Director of Business Development is responsible for leading and executing the sales process, growth initiatives, and revenue growth for their specific vertical as defined with the Vice President of Business Development.

The DBD will build relationships with key opinion leaders while developing their client base and capturing the highest outsourced share possible for Westfall-Technik. They will accomplish this through networking, prospecting, negotiating deals, and securing profitable business contracts within large multi-national accounts.

This position is also responsible for managing, building and maintaining strong internal relationships with our tooling and molding facilities. As a member of the corporate sales organization, this position will collaborate and work with our manufacturing site team members to advance sales and strategic growth.

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Partner with the VP of Business Development to lead or execute growth strategies and activities for specific strategic key accounts as defined.
  • Develop and execute annual and monthly sales plans and objectives for your clients.
  • Thoroughly understand and consistently communicate Westfall’s CVP
  • Maintain our CRM, Pipedrive, with relevant client information.
  • Participate with (e.g., attend conferences) and contribute to (e.g., presenting) relevant trade organizations and publications (and nationally when applicable)
  • Collaboratively work with team to develop and present proposal for services.
  • Plan, lead and drive contract negotiations with clients
  • Achieve annual sales goals consistent with corporate requirements for predictability, profitability, resource availability and strategy.
  • Maintain a pipeline of new opportunities to meet a running 12-month revenue goal.

???????QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of eight years of qualified medical device experience in the areas of business development, manufacturing, financial management, and complex negotiations.
  • Established business relationships and contacts.
  • Product development or manufacturing services experience preferred in the component, sub assembly, design and tooling services.
  • Must be creative with the ability to think outside the box; assertive, decisive, problem solver, risk taker and a result-oriented professional.
  • Can execute sales and marketing best practices within an overall context of meeting the company’s objectives for growing revenue, increasing EBITDA and exceeding customers’ expectations.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA or life science related advanced degree, or educational equivalent preferred
